Journey back to the West End: Supporting the Phoenix Arts Club
After the "Great Train Saga" of last week, I was hesitant to head back down to London—but an invitation from my dear drama school friend, Colin Savage, was far too good to pass up.
I headed down to the iconic Phoenix Theatre for a special West End fundraiser in support of the Phoenix Arts Club.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
Returning to the Phoenix Theatre always feels a bit like coming home. During my teaching days, I must have brought hundreds of children there to experience the power of Blood Brothers. It’s a space filled with so much history, and being back there for such a vital cause—supporting the heart of the theatrical community—was truly special.
The evening was packed with incredible entertainment, reminding me once again why we do what we do. From the talent on stage to the familiar faces in the crowd, it was a night of pure West End magic.
The Best Part?
The trains actually behaved! A completely hassle-free journey from Yorkshire and back again. It’s amazing how much more you enjoy the theatre when you aren't worried about being stranded in Peterborough!
