Theatre in the Round: A Trip to the Royal Exchange

Before the run ended, at the weekend, the "theatre tour" continued with a trip across the Pennines to the Royal Exchange in Manchester. It’s been a while since I was back in that iconic glass module, and it reminded me why it’s one of the most unique viewing experiences in the country.

Private Lives, Public Talent

I went there to see the new production of Private Lives, starring the incredible Jill Halfpenny. The entire cast was fabulous, bringing a fresh, sharp energy to a classic. There’s something about the Royal Exchange that makes you feel like you’re right in the middle of the drama—you catch every look and every subtle beat.

A Special Evening

What made the afternoon even better was having my wonderful daughter by my side. Sharing these performances with her is a highlight of what I do. It wasn’t just about scouting talent or staying updated with the industry; it was about enjoying top-tier theatre with family in a venue that never fails to impress.

If you haven’t been to the Royal Exchange recently, there is always a perfect excuse to head to Manchester!
