From the West End to Ghostlight: A Father’s Day Reignition
This past weekend, I was treated to the ultimate Father's Day gift: a trip back to London to immerse myself in the heart of the West End.
Stepping Back in Time at the Phoenix Theatre
My first stop was the historic Phoenix Theatre to see Stranger Things: The First Shadow. Being back in that auditorium was a surreal, full-circle moment for me, from my days living in outside London and teaching drama, when I used to bring endless groups of students to watch Blood Brothers.
The show itself was a masterclass in production, and the actors were nothing short of incredible. What a treat to be back in that vicinity—so close to the Phoenix Arts Club, a spot known and loved by creatives and industry professionals the world over.
The Magic of West End Live
Afterward, we took a walk down to Trafalgar Square to catch West End Live. Seeing the sheer scale of the crowds, the passion of the fans, and the phenomenal performers living out their dreams on stage was truly electric. It reminds you of the magnetic pull of this city and the boundless scale of our industry.
Bringing the Energy Back to the Ghostlight
I am bringing that exact West End energy, drive, and inspiration straight back to the desk at Ghostlight.
We have a wonderful, fiercely talented roster of performers right now. Every single day, they are making those small movements—landing the meetings, nailing the auditions, and honing the craft. It’s these consistent, steady steps that build the foundation for massive, lifelong careers.
Seeing the pinnacle of the West End last weekend only reinforces my mission to help our talent get exactly where they belong.
